A screw auger conveyor is a type of conveying equipment for feeding bulk materials based on the Archimedean screw principle. A flat metal strip shaped like an auger (screw) is the traction unit of such a conveyor. The auger blade rotates around a longitudinal axis and conveys the bulk materials along the axis through a fixed tray or pipe, which also acts as a load-bearing unit. It allows both horizontal and inclined feeding (up to 30°) of the material conveyed.
