Construction of the Brooklyn-Kyiv LLC Grain Marine Terminal

Brooklyn-Kyiv Grain Terminal LLC (Louis Dreyfus Group)
Company:
Brooklyn-Kyiv Grain Terminal LLC (Louis Dreyfus Group)
Location:
Odesa
Characteristics of the object

The Brooklyn-Kyiv Grain Marine Terminal is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Ukraine's grain industry, implemented in accordance with modern international standards for performance, energy efficiency, and environmental safety. The terminal provides 240,000 tonnes of simultaneous grain storage, annual grain handling capacity of up to 2.5 million tonnes, and accommodates Panamax-class vessels with a deadweight of up to 60,000 tonnes.

Grain Capital carried out a full range of engineering, manufacturing, and installation works for the technological section of the grain terminal.

The project included:

  • engineering design of the grain terminal process solutions;
  • manufacturing of high-capacity conveying, dust collection, weighing, and other process equipment;
  • fabrication of steel structures and gravity-flow equipment;
  • installation of grain silos Symaga with a total storage capacity of 240,000 tonnes, process equipment, conveyor galleries, and grain receiving stations;
  • development and implementation of dust collection systems (see the case study "Comprehensive Dust Collection System for the Grain Marine Terminal");
  • development, manufacturing, commissioning, and start-up of power control and automation systems (see the case study "Automation System for the Grain Marine Terminal");
  • comprehensive commissioning works.

Equipment Manufactured and Supplied
