When designing the MV Cargo grain handling complex in Yuzhny, the terminal management set the task of creating a modern, high-performance terminal in a limited area of the port. The project was examined by the EBRD and IFC and received high marks in terms of manufacturability, environmental friendliness and energy saving.

Object characteristics:
The project for the construction of a grain transhipment terminal with a capacity of 289.63 thousand tons of simultaneous grain storage provides for:
- Granary No. 1 with a total capacity of 102.515 thousand tons of grain, consisting of seven metal silos. All silos are equipped with thermometry systems. Aeration systems are installed in three silos.
- Granary No. 2 with a total capacity of 115.115 thousand tons of grain, consisting of seven metal silos. All silos are equipped with thermometry systems. Aeration systems are installed in three silos.
- Composition of grain No. 1 with a total capacity of 36 thousand tons of grain.
- Composition of grain No. 2 with a total capacity of 36 thousand tons of grain.
- receiving grain from road transport: two lines with a capacity of 550 t/hour, one line with a capacity of 700 t/hour.
- Reception of grain from railway transport: unloading of railway cars is organized in two streams with a capacity of 1500 t/h each.
- grain drying and cleaning: separator 400 t/h, grain dryers with capacity Q = 71 t/h (when drying corn from 28 to 14%).
- supply for water transport: two technological lines, hopper scales and a ship-loading machine with a capacity of 200 t/hour.
- high-quality grain accounting: own laboratory. Sampling is carried out using automatic samplers.
