Construction and modernization of oil extraction plants
Recent years have posed many challenges for Ukrainian agrarians and processors. 2022-23 years forced them to search for new logistic ways and significantly change crop rotations on the fields, taking into account price fluctuations on international markets and the cost of grown grain.
The resulting difficulties pushed the development of the processing sector. Today it has become obvious that growing raw materials and selling them for export does not bring the same profit as it used to, and limited logistics leads to increased risks in time and loss of profit. Therefore, the issue of producing a product with high added value has become more relevant than ever.
Today, the construction of new SEZs and modernization of existing ones is gaining momentum. Most enterprises have realized the need to have the capacity to process not only one crop (e.g. sunflower), but also to add new production lines for processing other crops (soybeans and rapeseed). In this way, the risks associated with the cost of raw materials on the market of one of the crops are minimized, and the market for assortment sales is increased. Plus, meal, which is an integral product in the production of oil, has a consistently high demand in European markets, where there is a highly developed livestock market.
Another trend today is deep processing of agricultural crops (especially corn), which produces such products as starch, molasses, lecithin, etc., which also have a steady demand in foreign markets. Moreover, the cost of raw materials grown in Ukraine is lower and gives an advantage in production costs.
