Comprehensive modernization of MHP's Yampol grain elevator

On December 22, 2020 the complex modernization of Yampolskiy MHP was completed by remote training on the use of the SMART-SDAU elevator control system.

Specialists of GC "Zernovaya Stolitsa" carried out the design, installation and commissioning of the system of complex automation of the new equipment of the elevator.

The project utilized the optimal quality/price equipment manufactured in Germany: ABB starting and protection equipment, Weidmuller I/O modules and SIMATIC S7 controller manufactured by SIEMENS. As a visualization and control system instead of traditional SCADA the customer, as well as many enterprises of Ukraine and the world, chose SMART-SDAU system produced by GC "Zernovaya Stolitsa". Among the many advantages of SMART-SDAU:

• convenient display of the object in isometry instead of a traditional silo board, allows minimizing the training period for new operators and the number of operational errors;
• low computer power (and cost) requirements for the operator's workstation;
• no license costs and no payment for tags: the size of the data archive is limited only by the hard disk capacity;
• compatibility with controllers of the world's leading manufacturers.

Thanks to the performed modernization, the specialists of the enterprise got a tool for safe and efficient use of production means, control of important parameters: electrical parameters of production power network and electric motors of transport equipment: voltage, current, frequency and temperature of all bearings, which allows predicting wear in advance, planning replacements, avoiding emergency situations.

Interlocking algorithms prevent crop mixing and incorrect routing, injury cases.

The peculiarity of the project in the conditions of quarantine measures was the conduct of remote training. Modern means of remote access and videoconferencing prevented the epidemiologic condition from becoming an epidemiologic condition in the way of timely completion of the project and launching the enterprise into full operation. This experience will form the basis of a new project: a video training course, which will be posted on our website.
