International Feed School 2021

"The art of improving the technology, safety and quality of mixed fodder" - this was the title of the VII session of the International School of Fodder, which brought together participants not only from Ukraine, but also from other countries, from July 5 to 10 at the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies.
Since 2014, the school has acted as a platform for discussion of topical problems of the feed industry, training and new promising acquaintances. It is composed of renowned scientists in the field of feed research, production and utilization, as well as international producers.
Thanks to such measures, business representatives as well as scientists in the field of compound feed production have the opportunity to learn about the latest developments and technologies, thereby improving the quality and economic efficiency of their product.
This year in the educational and scientific laboratory "Smart equipment", which was opened in 2020 at the expense of GC "Zernovaya Stolitsa", the head of the department of advanced development conducted training and presentation of innovative products in the field of automation system SMART - SDAM of the work of elevator and feed mill on the example of transportation and aspiration equipment.
The thematic master class "SMART-technologies in agro-industrial complex" consisted of two extensive topics: "SMART microcontrollers" and "Intelligent automation".
SMART microcontrollers allow to control and register all current parameters of equipment operation, to avoid emergencies, breakdowns, repair costs and downtime, as well as to make blending - mixing of batches of goods for exact compliance with contractual indicators.
Aspiration equipment equipped with SMART microcontrollers and connected to the SMART-Individual system or integrated into the existing ACS allows to significantly increase the compressor operating life, reduce its power consumption by up to 11%, and increase the life of the filter cloth by up to 17%.
The software installed in the SMART-Individual system allows full remote control of the filter units, as well as always have all the necessary documentation for each filter at hand. The system itself monitors the filter operation and notifies the operator in advance in case of any technical malfunction or the need for maintenance.
Intelligent automation is a unique system that allows you to control and monitor the equipment remotely, from anywhere in the world where there is internet access.
Innovative equipment of the laboratory realizes computer functions that allow controlling diagnostics and administration systems at grain processing plants. The presented technologies work remotely and significantly reduce energy and labor costs. Undoubtedly, such technologies will be of interest to industry representatives, students and those who are on the way to choosing a profession.
"The general trend in the development of intelligent systems follows the actual demand, and it for any agricultural production today is to ensure predictable reliability of operation at the same time as minimizing OpEx - operation costs. Powerful synergy effect - scientific approach to reliability calculation and practical experience in combination of technical and software tools of our own development - this is the present, these are real solutions that are already working. Not the only, but the most important today economic effect achieved with their help - guaranteed continuity of operation for reasonable maintenance costs" - S.M. Artyushkin, Head of Advanced Development Department, Grain Capital Group of Companies.
This year's session of the International Feed School was really rich and interesting. The questions of introduction of new technologies into production and equipment of mixed fodders, in particular automation systems, were considered, many theoretical and practical master classes, as well as scientific conferences and laboratory workshops were held.
