Creation of up-to-date production management systems based on promising SMART solutions

A round table was held at Odessa National Technological University between representatives of grain processing industries, specialists of Grain Capital Group of Companies and specialists of the Department of Technological Equipment of Grain Processing Industries (TOZP).

The main purpose of the meeting was to inform in detail the business participants of the processing industry on the improvement of automated equipment at modern production facilities with the help of SMART-technologies.

The opening speech was delivered by the Director of "Zernovaya Stolitsa-Engineering" LLC, the Head of TOZP Department Professor O.I. Gaponyuk. He emphasized the importance of the discussed topic, as well as the need to improve software, automated solutions responsible for the interaction between the administrative staff of the enterprise and its technological complex.

C.M. Artyushkin, Head of the Department of Advanced Developments of GC "Zernovaya Stolitsa" made proposals to address these issues.

In his report he drew attention to the following problems:

• Process equipment reliability prediction;
• point microprocessor solutions for unique problems of elevator farms;
• correction of business processes as a mandatory stage of implementation of automation and IT products;
• combining disparate technological and business process automation systems into a powerful enterprise management tool.

An important issue concerning the solution of the above-mentioned problems is the training of students, as well as professional development of employees employed in the industry. This issue was highlighted by Alexashin A.V., Associate Professor of the Department of Technical Plant Engineering, Candidate of Technical Sciences.

In his speech Alexander Vasilyevich defined the main directions of studying the subject: "Information technology service of grain production equipment", recommended for students of the training program "IT-service of equipment", applying for the degree of "Master". Its object of study is laboratory equipment SMART-Individual, prepared by GC "Zernovaya Stolitsa".

It was noted that today, as never before, the issue of training of high-class specialists, claiming a master's or bachelor's degree, in order for them to effectively use and maintain transportation equipment and technical facilities based on SMART-technologies is more relevant than ever.

The final stage of the conference was an excursion trip to the plant of GC "Zernovaya Stolitsa", where the participants visited the design and automation departments, production workshops for the manufacture of equipment for the elevator industry.
